About re-HOME™

Patricia Ewanski

Specialty

...in "Tech-Speak": re-HOME™ specializes in the reduction of new resource consumption and optimization of energy usage through the rehabilitation of existing homes and buildings.

...in Plain Ole English: re-HOME provides assistance to existing building owners, buyers, renters, landlords, real estate professionals, developers, and others through webinars, live workshops, individual consulting, written materials, and any other means necessary. re-HOME's specialty is its ability to distill the somewhat vague information about retrofitting and energy efficiency into specific, quantified terms and processes that people can easily understand.

Founder & Background

re-HOME was founded by Patricia Ewanski who has managed business and technology projects for the past 10 years, mainly in technically-oriented industries such as green building, internet content provision, and optics and for technical organizations like Intel, AOL, Edmund Optics, and the University of Arizona. Patricia has also started two companies and she knows the necessity of sound business planning and cost/benefit analysis in bringing good, green ideas to fruition. The focus of her experience has been directed at Green Building and its associated disciplines such as alternative energy, rainwater harvesting, etc.

Patricia is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). She worked on an accelerated dual Master's Program at the University of Arizona, achieving both an MBA and an MS in Natural Resources with an emphasis on Green Building.

Patricia was also lucky enough to have been selected to participate in the #1 nationally-ranked McGuire Entrepreneurship Program. There, with her very strong team of colleagues, she gained experience in crafting solutions to sustainable building and technology ventures. Additionally, Patricia assisted in the research and writing of a NAIOP report concerning green building incentives and she wrote her Master's thesis on an analysis of U.S. green building legislation at the state level.

Environmental Commitment

re-HOME leads by example. We say less but do more. In other words, we want our actions to speak louder than our words. Here are a few of the actions that we take in an effort to practice what we preach:

  • We use recycled products in our business products (e.g. business cards, reports, etc.)
  • We do not advertise in print. We rely on the internet, networking, and other non-paper means.
  • We do service for the USGBC at the State and Local levels, and are a full National Member of the USGBC.
